The Brief: To celebrate the cultural unity between England and India in a unique way. To celebrate our similarities and differences.
My Response:
I looked at various techniques of jewellery creation in the UK and India then emalgamated them witin my intial designs.

The designs themselves are a combination of iconic imagery, symbolism, nature and history from both India and the UK.

Ring designs based on Indian Kantha (embroidery) craft and celebrating the long history of the textile industry within both country's. I combined William Morris textile designs and mixed kantha, embroidery techniques to create these 2 unique designs.

My final design and prototype were made using indian silk thread on Silk material. I embroidered the chosen design and set it inside a gold locket to showcase the design.
